Because it uses the same wide Natural-Shape last, if you need extra room (for thick socks or to reduce pressure), the insole can be removed.

As with all Lems boots, the wide toe box gives more lateral space than typical boots.

Keep in mind that insulation reduces internal space a bit; for very thick socks or extra volume feet, sizing up a half size could be a good choice.
